Job Description

J.D. Power and Associates is a global marketing information firm that conducts independent and unbiased surveys of customer satisfaction, product quality and buyer behavior. Today, the firm's services include industry-wide syndicated studies; proprietary (commissioned) tracking studies; media studies; forecasting; and training services, as well as business operations analyses, and consultancies on customer satisfaction trends.

We are currently seeking a Statistician, Power Information Network (PIN) Product Services, in Westlake Village, CA.

Key Goals of this Position:

  • Extract PIN transactions data, automotive incentive data and other data sources
  • Conduct complicated data processing steps using SAS to merge all data sources and compute incentive program take rate and spending
  • Modify existing SAS data processing programs as needed for report customization
  • QC all production procedures and final deliverables
  • Manage various data sources using SAS/SQL to preparedata files tailored for production or statistical analysis/modeling
  • Modify existing SAS data processing programs as needed in a timely manner

Qualifications

Education/Experience Required:

  • Four-Year college degree or higher in statistics or related fields (such as mathematics, econometrics or physics). Masters degree preferred.
  • Three or more years experience in SAS programming. 
  • Solid background in processing large and complex databases (e.g., longitudinal data, scanner data). 
  • Familiar with various SAS steps, such as PROC SQL,PROC TRANSPOSE, MACRO, and data merging.
  • Analytical abilities and attention to details.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to work in a team environment
